Doyle Bramhall II i Amager Bio

Known primarily for his work as the leader of the Arc Angels in the 1990s and for accompanying numerous top performers

such as Eric Clapton, BB King or Roger Waters, Doyle Bramhall started his Rich Man tour in Europe, and Denmark was not off of it.

With a formidable voice and a guitar of blues sounds, Doyle captivated the Danish public on April 28 at the small but cozy venue Amager Bio, Copenhagen.

Despite the 45-minute wait and technical problems in terms of sound, Doyle managed to keep his audience on fire from the very beginning to end, from My People to Green Light Girl, giving free rein to his seventy-year sounds, somewhat influenced by R&B, Indian music as well as Arabian music. It was possible to perceive that journey from which Bramhall spoke in an interview given to Where’s Eric! Magazine, a spiritual journey in sounds and lyrics that let us discover both the aspects of suffering and those that allowed him to mature and be the artist he is nowadays.

Overall it was a quality show where Doyle hooked up with his audience throughout his whole repertoire, even letting them know that he was very glad to be on that stage, and that he counted on a public that knew when to applaud (comparing it with the American one). This fourth solo studio album will allow them to stay on tour until June of this year, culminating with a performance at the Brooklyn Bowl, New York. Hopefully this time the Americans do know when to applaud.
